1 Corinthians 11:27-34 - Self-Examination
27 So that whoever eateth the bread or drinketh the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty with respect to the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and thus let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup; 29 for he that eateth and drinketh eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, if he do not discern the body. 30 For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and some are falling asleep. 31 But if we judged ourselves, we should not be judged; 32 but when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 If any one hunger, let him eat at home; that ye may not come together to condemnation. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
